Every Mermaid Manufacturing air conditioning product is constructed of quality components assembled on solid stainless steel bases right here in the United States.
All of our marine air conditioning models are available in 120VAC, 220VAC 50 Hertz, or 220/230 50/60 Hertz (US) configurations. The differences between each unit relates to their cooling capacity. We have the right system for marine vessels ranging from the smallest cabin cruiser to a 75′ sailing yacht. We also supply the highest quality A/C pumps and marine thermostats in the industry.
AIR CONDITIONER PRODUCTS
5,200 BTU SYSTEM
Smallest footprint on the market and weighs in at 31.5 lbs. for the unit, and 4.7 lbs for the electrical box! This unit produces 5,200 BTU’s in cool mode, and 6,200 BTU’s in reverse cycle heat mode. This unit also has a rotatable blower and tapers down to a “V” shape for those odd angle discharge installations. We use 4″ ducting and recommend a minimum of 2, 4″ round supply grills with this installation.
6,500 BTU SYSTEM
This unit is available in right, left or top air discharge configurations, and is now available as a cool reverse cycle heat unit. This unit produces 6,500 BTU’s in cool mode, 5,640 BTU’s in electric heat mode, and 7,500 BTU’s in reverse cycle heat mode. We use 4″ ducting and recommend a minimum of 2, 4″ round supply grills with this installation.
9,000 BTU SYSTEM
This unit, the smallest 9,000 BTU on the market. It is almost the same size as the Mermaid M6 unit. In order to keep the smallest footprint on the market, we utilize the same stainless steel base as the Model M6 – 6500 BTU unit. This unit produces 9,000 BTU’s in cool mode, 5,640 BTU’s in electric heat mode, and 10,000 BTU’s in reverse cycle heat mode.
12,000 BTU SYSTEM
This unit is available in Right, Left, or Top air discharge configurations. It is available as a “Cool Only,” Cool/Electric Heat,” or “Cool/Reverse Cycle Heat.” This unit produces 12,000 BTU’s in cool mode, 5,640 BTU’s in electric heat mode and 14,000 BTU’s in reverse cycle heat mode.
16,500 BTU SYSTEM
This is our work horse unit! The Mermaid Model M-16 – 16,500 BTU system produces phenomenal climate control to vessels ranging from 38-45 feet. This unit produces 16,500 BTU’s in cool mode and 18,000 BTU’s in reverse cycle heat mode. Manufactured on high grade 304-18 gauge stainless steel, this unit was engineered with your comfort in mind.
24,000 BTU SYSTEM
Newest to the Mermaid Manufacturing line is the M24 – 24,000 BTU Cool Only and Cool/Reverse Cycle model marine air conditioners. Due to our customers demands, the M24 was created to solve the problem of locating a self-contained unit where performance, price, and efficiency were hard to find with an output larger than 16,500 BTU’s. This unit produces 24,000 BTU’s in cool mode and 28,000BTU’s in reverse cycle heat mode.
Installation, Service, and Warranty
We sell between 900-1200 marine A/C units to happy customers each year. Every new unit purchased from us comes with a 5 year warranty against material defects and workmanship. We believe in our manufacturing staff, so all repairs are done here on site. If you have any problem, just call us and we’ll explain how to arrange for service. We’ll even cover shipping costs for any units being serviced for the first 6 months after purchase. After that 6 month period, we’ll split the shipping costs with you.
You may choose certified technician to install your unit if you like. Or if you’re handy, you may be able to install the unit yourself like many of our customers do. It is to your discretion which you choose, Mermaid Manufacturing of SW F.L is not responsible for labor reimbursement. We’ll send a detailed installation and operations manual with every unit.
We’ll make it even easier for you by sending you an optional installation kit that includes everything you need except the water pump. The kit contains all the hoses, ducting, grills and more.
