Every Medi-Kool system is manufactured from top grade, sterile stainless steel. Our employees are experts with an average work history of 10+ years at Mermaid Manufacturing. Every unit is made to the same exacting performance standards. The only difference between the systems is size. We offer over 30 different size units to fit different applications. If you can’t find what you need, we can custom build a cabinet for you for a small additional engineering fee.
MEDI-KOOL STANDARD SYSTEMS
MEDI-KOOL MICRO/H (Micro & Saline Depth)
The smallest, most efficient refrigeration unit available. Compressor can be mounted to the rear,right, left or the top of the unit. Door can be hinged right or left.
MEDI-KOOL MICRO/V (Micro & Saline Depth)
Closely related to our MK-Micro/H Micro Depth unit, the difference is that this cabinet is assembled on its side for different dimension requirements. Compressor can be mounted to the rear, right, left, or the top of the unit. Door can be hinged right or left.
MEDI-KOOL SALINE SS (Micro & Saline Depth)
This unit was developed specifically to store saline for the induced Hypothermia Protocol. As of 2015 these units cannot operate in a “Cool only” style. This unit is now temperature controlled as all the others . Compressor can be mounted to the rear , right, left or top of the unit. Door can be hinged top or bottom
MEDI-KOOL 15 SS
This unit is ideal for the ALS cabinet or in a space where smaller climate controlled needs arise. It is available with the compressor on the rear, right ,left, top. An optional pull out drawer is available for purchase. Door can be hinged top or bottom.
MEDI-KOOL 18 SS
Similar to the MK 1.5 , this unit has the same width and height , but is 7″ deeper. It is available with the compressor on the rear, right, left or top. An optional pull out drawer is also available for purchase. Door can be hinged top or bottom.
MEDI-KOOL CHIEF SS
This is a “Stand Alone Unit” and is designed to be hard mounted to the deck in the back of an SUV or counter space in an ambulance. Made to be hard wired into the vehicles electrical system and is not a portable system. Door can be hinged to the right or the left and the compressor is mounted on the left.
MEDI-KOOL 20 SS
This unit is our very attractive workhorse model and is our most popular unit. Compressor can be mounted rear, right, left or top and the hinge can be located on the left or right. Adjustable vented shelf is included. Door can be hinged left or right
MEDI-KOOL 40 SS
This unit is designed to hold extremely large drug bags. Compressor can be mounted rear, right, left or top. Adjustable vented shelf is included. Door can be hinged right or left.
MEDI-KOOL 51 SS
This large cabinet is 5.1 cubic feet of heating or cooling space. Hence how we got the name! Compressor can be located to the rear, right ,left or top of the unit. Door can be hinged top or bottom.
MEDI-KOOL 2.2 SS FREE-STANDER DEEP
The Medi-Kool 2.2 SS Free-Stander Deep is all about depth and designed for small or medium ALS bags. This is a free-standing unit but can be customized for any mounting needs. Compressor can be mounted to the left, right, rear, or top. Door can be hinged right or left.
MEDI-KOOL 2.4 FREE-STANDER SS
The Medi-Kool 2.4 Free-Stander SS was designed to fit available shelf space found in most fire truck passenger cabs. This is a free-standing unit but can be customized for any mounting needs. Compressor can be mounted on the left, right, rear, or top. Door can be hinged on the top or bottom.
MEDI-KOOL 3.16 AZ HH PELICAN SS
The Medi-Kool 3.16 AZ HH Pelican SS is perfect for extreme conditions. Designed with FOUR TIMES the standard insulation our 3.16 AZ HH Pelican unit can operate in the most extreme cold or hot temperatures. Compressor can be mounted to the left, right, rear, or top. Door can be hinged on the top or bottom.
MEDI-KOOL 4.1 PELICAN 1460 FREE-STANDER
The Medi-Kool 4.1 Pelican 1460 Free-Stander is a free-standing unit originally designed for floor usage in the Toyota Hiace Van with the size compatibility to the fit the Pelican 1460 ALS box/bag. This free-standing unit can also be customized for any mounting needs. Compressor can be mounted to the left, right, rear, or top. Door hinged on the bottom.
MEDI-KOOL 4.9 PIERCE FIRE RESCUE SS
The Medi-Kool 4.9 Pierce Fire Rescue SS was originally designed as a floor or shelf mounted unit for fire rescue trucks but can be used in any emergency vehicle with the need for storage of large ALS bags and/or backpacks. Compressor can be mounted to the left, right, rear, or top. Door can be hinged on the top or bottom.
MEDI-KOOL 7.8 RS1 SS
The Medi-Kool 7.8 RS1 SS was designed for the right-side 1st (RS1) compartment for most fire pumper trucks with the need for floor mounting applications in mind. It can accommodate a wifi designed narcotics strong box along with a mid-size or large ALS bag. Compressor can be mounted to the left, right or top. Door can be hinged to the right or left.
MEDI-KOOL 59 SS (D-Large)
This unit is designed to be placed underneath the MK.67, both units must be purchased separately. Compressor can be mounted rear, right, left or top. Two adjustable vented shelf’s are included. The door can be hinged right or left.
MEDI-KOOL 67 SS (D-Small)
This small, thin unit is designed to primarily carry saline bags or small drug boxes. Compressor can be mounted to the rear, right, left or top of the unit. An optional pull out drawer is available for purchase. Door can be hinged top or bottom.
MEDI-KOOL 9606 SS
This unit was specifically designed for the Plano Storage box. It is also nice for a narcotics drug bag or safe. Compressor can be located to the rear, right ,left or the top of the unit. Door can be hinged right or left.
MEDI-KOOL 747 SS
The MK 747 is another one of our most popular sellers. Compressor can be mounted rear, right, left or top. One adjustable vented shelf is included. Door can be hinged right or left.
MEDI-KOOL PELICAN SS
The MK Pelican is one of our larger units. Compressor can be mounted rear, right, left or top. Adjustable vented shelf included. Door can be hinged right or left.
12v BLANKET WARM CABINET
Mermaid Manufacturing’s 12v Mobile blanket and fluid warming cabinets are used for medical and ems mobile applications.
DUAL TEMP HORIZONTAL (Micro & Saline Depth)
A Single unit with two sections. Both sections can be set at two separate temperatures, meaning one side can cool while the other heats. Compressors can be mounted t the rear or top of the unit. Please call for alternate compressor options. No door hinge options available.

MICRO V / MICRO DEPTH AVIATION
The Medi-Kool Micro V/Micro Depth Aviation design is the perfect combination of reduced weight (30lbs) and small size. This unit includes a compact compressor mounted on the top, dropping the necessary headroom clearance to only 6” above the cut-out dimensions. Door can be hinged right or left.

Installation
If you purchase a Medi-Kool system from us directly, you must arrange for installation yourself. Every unit comes with a detailed installation manual to help you accomplish this. If you prefer to have an expert handle installation, reach out to one of our certified dealers who will order your system and install it upon arrival.

Our 5 Year Warranty
That’s not all you get by doing business with FMMS, however. Medi-Kool products come with our 5 year warranty for parts and service. The Control Board and the Compressor have a 1 year warranty.
If a unit fails within the 1st year, FMMS pays for the parts, service, and shipping costs both ways. During years 2-5, we’ll cover the cost of your repairs as long as you pay the shipping.
